As the name implies, I am a dad who loves to play video games. I’m also a dad who loves to write but I thought Dad the Gamer was better than Dad the Writer considering I’ll be writing about video games. I’ve been playing them as long as I can remember. Atari something-or-other (I don’t know what model it was) to currently owning an Xbox One. I also enjoy mobile gaming on my iPhone. Only downside to being Dad the Gamer is that my little ones are tiny and I can’t play as often as I’d like.
The blog will contain reviews, the occasional news bits, and maybe some fun little features. My reviews won’t be novella-length works of literature, they won’t be scored since I feel my writing will convey my feelings for the product, and my reviews will all most likely be about the opening to middle of the game. This means the reviews will speak to my current thoughts of the game and will also show whether I feel it’s worth the investment at that point.
I really want this to be a fun experience for me and for the readers. I might not be able to update it as often as I’d like, but I will do my best. I am a huge proponent to positivity and have no patience for console war bickering or shaming people for playing specific games. If you wish to follow me on Twitter, I can be found (at dadthegamer79) or emailed at contactdadthegamer at gmail dot com. Hope you enjoy.
